Glen Fabisevich
Viano Music Academy Founder - Piano & Composing
Hi, I'm Glen! I’m a professional pianist with a degree from the Manhattan School of Music (BM, ‘11), in piano performance, and I’ve been teaching piano and guitar full-time since 2003. I’ve studied with amazing teachers such as the legendary Ms. Nina Svetlanova and Dr. Arkady Aronov at the Manhattan School of Music, and Madeline Bruser, author of The Art of Practicing.
I’ve had a love for teaching since I was a kid. When I was 8, I’d invite my friends over and show them how to play certain tunes they’d want to learn. I continued to perform and show them how to play things, until I was 18, and I got my first full-time student. I continued to grow my studio, and the love for teaching has only strengthened over the last 20 years.
Today, I like spreading the passion for what I’ve learned to locations all over the world, and I believe, based on the experience I’ve had over the past several years, that Zoom lessons are the perfect vehicle for achieving this!
Jay O'Brien
Percussionist
Jay O'Brien is a NYC percussionist, educator and performer. He has played at Carnegie Hall, Birdland, NJPAC and numerous other venues in and around the Tri-State area as a soloist and along with diverse groups such as The New Jersey Symphony, Kieth Pappa's Polktoberfest Band, Orchestra of St Peter by the Sea and The Charu Suri Group.His wide range of students consistently place in their respective statewide and national contests and competitions including Region Bands, All State Bands and Orchestra's, NJYS, National Honor Band and many more. You can find his students attending Tanglewood, The Juilliard School, The Manhattan School of Music, NYU, as well as marching in World Class Drum Corps.
Since 2014 he has endorsed Innovative Percussion and uses their products exclusively. He offers instructions on all classical percussion instruments, rudimental snare drumming, and drum set.
Phill
Guitar
Phill has taken countless lessons, in rock, classical/latin guitar, gypsy jazz, jazz, blues, metal and more. He has played in Metal, Gypsy Jazz, Blues Funk, Soul, RnB bands and taught students from age 4 - 75. He takes pride in tailoring lessons specifically to each students interests and needs, and works hard to build their confidence, skills, and creativity while keeping lessons fun and inspiring too!
